چکیده

It has been proposed that multifragmentation can be related to the liquid-gas phase transition of nuclear matter. We study the statistical properties of finite nuclear matter near the phase transition with the help of a Lattice Gas Model (LGM). The original version of LGM with only one type of charge-neutral particles is well known to feature the properties of the liquid-gas phase transition. In this contribution, we address the effect of Coulomb and isospin dependence interaction for the finite nuclei transition, and study the symmetry energy properties of finite temperature systems. In the last decade, there has been a growing interest for the measurement of the symmetry coefficient csym of the nuclear equation of state, through experiments with heavy ion collisions. At zero temperature, most mean-field-based nuclear equations of state can be approximately reproduced through the density (ρ) functional form [1] :

Continuous phase transition and negative specific heat in finite nuclei

The liquid-gas phase transition in finite nuclei is studied in a heated liquid-drop model where the nuclear drop is assumed to be in thermodynamic equilibrium with its own evaporated nucleonic vapor conserving the total baryon number and isospin of the system. It is found that in the liquid-vapor coexistence region the pressure is not a constant on an isotherm indicating that the transition is ...

The two instructive effects concerning fragment production at disintegration of finite nuclei are predicted with the statistical multi-fragmentation model: (1) a concentration of neutrons in intermediate mass fragments during the phase transition, (2) the break of the spatial symmetry of the fragment's isospin distribution, as well as of the symmetry of the fragment's emission from a statistica...

The effects of isomerism and side chain mutation on binding energy and NMR/NQR tensors of L-methionylasparagine and L-asparagylmethionine

Density functional theory methods(DFT) and natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis were used to investigate the effects of isomerism and side chain mutation at a microscopic level on the stability, binding energy and NMR/NQR tensors of structural isomers, L- methionylasparagine (Met-Asn) and L- asparagylmethionine (Asn-Met) in the gas phase. The results represented that the isomerism and side chain...

Model calculations of doubly closed shell nuclei in CBF theory III . j j coupling and isospin dependence

Correlated basis function theory and Fermi hypernetted chain technique are extended to study medium-heavy, doubly closed shell nuclei in the jj coupling scheme, with different single-particle wave functions for protons and neutrons and isospin-dependent two-body correlations. Central semirealistic interactions are used. Ground-state energies, one-body densities, distribution functions and momen...
